I noticed my cats scratching a couple weeks ago and found no live fleas on them but the fecies. Our little dachshund did not appear to have any. I treated all animals with frontline. Immediately washed all bedding curtains anything I could in hot water and bleach if possible. I vacuumed the house moving beds under furniture around cracks couches etc. mopped wood floors with bleach and then sprayed everything I could with Knockout pyriproxyfen treatment. I’ve been vacuuming and mopping like this every or every other day. Also combing out the cats to rid of the couple live fleas on them. I’ve set up a flea trap and also sprinkled diatomaceous earth in areas and set humidifier in basement to lower the humidity. Our dog now has more fleas than ever and it seems to be getting worse. I gave him a bath today and removed 20-30 live fleas. Is this part of the life cycle or should I be doing something more?
