My vet no longer carries advantix 2 and sold me Frontline gold, it’s supposed to be their newest product, supposedly better than the frontline plus. I can tell you this, IT DOES NOT WORK! I always used the advantix 2, for about 20-25 years have NEVER, ever had one flea. Now that I have used the frontline gold for a few months I have fleas on both beagles and my 3 cats. I would advise anyone and everyone to never buy this product.August 15, 2017 at 3:22 PM #72330
I too was given frontline gold for cats and have used it twice. No decline in fleas on my cat and now I have an infestation in my house.August 15, 2017 at 3:38 PM #72432
I just paid $124 at the vet for 8 doses of Frontline Gold which is supposed to start working the first day. The vet administered the first dose to my cat and I treated two more when I got home. That was two weeks ago. It did not work on any of the cats. I feel ill advised and ripped off (and of course, unhappy to be out the money and still dealing with the problem).August 16, 2017 at 3:48 PM #72664
I have used frontline for years and never had any problems.. never tried gold but frontline plus has always saved me.November 14, 2017 at 6:52 AM #73521
Yes, I agree that FRONTLINE has never worked for the flea infestation on my cat! I believe it is the biggest rip-off and I will not perpetuate their unjust enrichment. My cousin used to work for a veterinarian, and told me to only use a product which has FIPRONIL as an ingredient. Worked for me, but now I am unable to find where to purchase it. I may have to consider getting rid of my dear family member pet. Boo hoo.
