Are They Really Flea Bites?

Flea bites can appear as small red dots or raised, red bumps that look similiar to mosquito bites. It's important to identify the source of the bites to ensure that you or a friend/animal is not infested. Flea bites often itch and can be painful. If you notice a small red 'halo' around the bite or a spreading 'rash' then you may be experiencing an allergic reaction. Pet's with allergies to flea bites often show signs of hair loss around the bites along with excessive scratching and chewing and should be taken to the vet for treatment.
